Marscoin | Blockchain Inventory + Voting

In a project spearheaded by Lennart Lopin, Marscoin is a cryptocurrency developed in 2014 with future Mars colonists in mind. Built with blockchain technology, Marscoin is poised to assume a greater role in the larger development of a fair and transparent society on Mars. On Mars, the Marscoin network ledger can potentially be used for the following:

-       Keep track of sales + supplies

-       Property transfers

-       Permanent receipts

-       Votes

-       Immutable record of ideas/innovations

-       Immutable Record of data from factories, sensors, production

Blockchain, as a technology, exists is in its nodes. Each node (a computer with the cryptocurrency software) holds an identical version of the transactions. Crew 261 intends to install a Marscoin node at the Mars Desert Research Station.
